Visit the British Library on 27th October and celebrate the power of picture books!
Children of all ages, and their families, are invited to join top illustrators, authors and performers in an engaging free day of drawing, storytelling and workshops.
In the British Library courtyard, visitors can see their favourite characters brought to life in drawings made on the epic Big Draw frame by some of the UK’s best illustrators.
Quentin Blake, Axel Scheffler, Nick Sharratt, Emma Chichester Clarke and Best New Illustrators Polly Dunbar, Emily Gravett and Mini Grey are amongst the illustrators who will be appearing throughout the day.
There will be creative workshops for all the family, hosted by illustrators including Ed Vere, Marcia Williams and Petr Horacek. Best-selling author illustrator teams Chris Riddell and Paul Stewart and Laurence and Catherine Anholt will be making auditorium appearances and drawing on stage.
